1) New pink running shoes. Do I need to explain any further? I don't think so, either.
No filter was applied to this pic - My shoes are just seriously that bright pink! Whoopwhoop! |
2) Having the ability to drop Henry off at the gym daycare for an hour is absolutely changing my life. Turns out, all I need for better sanity is an hour workout by myself and not in 100+ degree heat. Boom! Happier Paige. Which means a whole happier family, for the two and four legged members.
3) Mornings have become my most favorite time of the day. Henry is always in a good mood, smiling and talking to himself. We play with his toys and chitchat over coffee for about an hour every morning, and it's my absolute favorite!
4) I FINALLY got some frames for Lil' H's newborn pics. His shelf is now complete (and yeah, he's almost four months old. Whatevs.)
5) Confession: I'm a Halloween fanatic. Favorite holiday, hands down. Love scary movies, love fall, love pumpkin carving, all of it.[NOTE: I do NOT love PSL's. Or people who post pics of PSL's. Or endless commentary about PSL's.] Sorry, I digressed there. So... I may have already bought our dogs' costumes for when we go trick or treating with H. I am waiting to decorate the house until September though... But that's only because I have a hubs to consider. Trust me, if I was still single Paige and in my own apartment, that shizzle would be done up proper. Already.
I can't wait to share pics of what the boys look like in these! And the story behind my costume selection. Alas, I'll wait until October... Maybe. |
I hope everyone has an excellent weekend! Please tell me I'm not the only one jumping the gun with my Halloween enthusiasm?!
No, you aren't the only one thinking about Halloween! My little one has been a farmer and a cowboy, because they both involve bandannas, which I have on hand. So the challenge is to step out of scarf land. Or he could be a train conductor.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I'm not the only one, Lynne! A farmer and a cowboy sound adorable... I was going to wait to see what our weather does and go from there. It could be mid 90's or it could be a cool 75, so I'll dress myself and the baby to suit the climate :)
DeleteI absolutely love Halloween but I procrastinate every year and never get my act together for a costume....I usually just end up throwing together something very random from my closet!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I never plan my own costume... Just everyone else. This year is going to be especially fun because not only do I have two little doggies to dress, but a mini-me too!
DeleteAren't they great! I had tried on about ten pairs and wasn't loving any of them... Then I saw those across the store and was just like YES. THOSE SHOES. :)
ReplyDeleteEEEeeeee... LOVE those pink shoes. If I don't get those in my life very soon, I might cry!!!!
ReplyDeleteAren't they amazing? All traffic will see me coming with those bad girls on!
DeleteLove the shoes! I've recently discovered a newfound love for vibrant running shoes :) seeing yours makes me want a new pair. I have already decided on Halloween costumes for both boys (yay Pinterest) now as October gets closer I will start purchasing them and making adjustments based on weather. I'm in canada and have snowy blizzard memories of Halloween as well as ones with more summer like weather. It can go either way. #canadianproblems lol
ReplyDeleteOh and Ty is almost 10 months and I am just putting the finishing touches on his room now. I was the same with Mav, neither started using their rooms until around now so it wasn't a rush plus the end results are different than my original plans bc they have more personality and I changed ideas to suit them more.
Hope you have a great long weekend!
I think I'm going to spend the remainder of the weekend on pinterest to get some ideas for Henry! I grew up in Minnesota, so pretty much the same thing as Canada, and our costumes growing up were always ruined by the need for winter coats. I feel ya!
DeleteGlad I'm not the only one who majorly dragged her feet with the nursery! Many of my friends are having babies and theirs were done by about 30 weeks of their pregnancies... I didn't even get started until 27 weeks or so, when my big belly told me, "Uh, hey Paige... You might want to get on this at some point!" :)
Ok so I feel like I'm the only one who has no idea what you mean when you say PSL..and google is not helping haha
ReplyDeleteHaha! One of my girlfriends texted me to tell me she had to google it after reading this post and something vulgar came up... It means pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. I think they taste like expensive, burnt, sugary chemicals, but everyone is crazy for them. Whatever floats your boat though, right?!
DeleteThose pink shoes are awesome. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteAlso--I'm with you about the PSLs... can we not talk about them, already? Please. Can you just enjoy them in peace? I don't get it.
oh love those shoes! Henry is so adorable. I don't like coffee or pumpkin, so no thank you! lol
